Our House
After one year in rented accomodation we have bought a house. The house
is a large three bedroomed terraced house and was a hundred years old in
1997. The house had a lot of work done in the seventies and had a
nicotine brown colour scheme. In our time here we have done lots of
work. First there was woodworm and damp treatment. This involved
stripping all the carpets, loft insulation and loft boards. Next we have
decorated the lounge, hall, stairs, landing and master bedroom. We had
uPVC windows have been fitted and new carpets. We have improved the
Dining Room by repainting. Mandy designed and applied hand printed
flowers at picture rail height. The house is a pleasant place to live.
In the Summer of 2000 we had a new bathroom suite fitted.

The Celling has been filled in now and painted white. The fitted desk
units were completed on 21/12/99.

We recently improved our kitchen which involved taking out the old
fitted units, which were embedded into the wall upto 75mm. This left
gapping holes in the wall which had to be filled and then large areas of
the kitchen we plastered. Next Mandy painted the woodwork and the walls.
Then all the old plumbing was taken out and renewed to take account of
the new design. We also incorporated a new cooker and a new gas tumble
dryer. The Kitchen units came from Hygena, europes largest kitchen
manufaturer. They are in thier Wessex Pine design.
